Sustainable Development Goals

The Sustainable Development Goals are the most ambitious sustainable development agenda ever adopted by the world’s countries and are designed to achieve four great things by 2030: ending extreme poverty. To reduce inequalities and injustices in the world. To promote peace and justice. Solving the climate crisis.

The Sustainable Development Goals can make this a reality. Sthlm Food & Wine and Bak & Choklad contribute to these goals through a range of actions. We have chosen to focus on goals 5, 6 and 12, which we feel are closest to us and where we can have the most impact.

Objective 5 - Gender equality

  • We aim for a balanced distribution (gender and ethnicity) of participants on our stages, activities and in our marketing.
  • Raising awareness of our visitors on the issue of gender equality in the restaurant industry.
  • Sthlm Food & Wine and Bak & Choklad should be a nice and safe place to visit as a guest and as a participant.

Goal 6 - Clean water and sanitation for all

  • No sale or use of bottled water on our stages, activity areas and restaurants.
  • We aim to raise awareness among our visitors about the importance of access to clean water for the production of the food and drink we consume.

Goal 12 - Sustainable consumption and production

  • We aim to showcase good examples of food and food waste management.
  • We raise awareness among our visitors to enable informed food and drink choices.
  • We showcase innovations in food and beverage packaging.
  • We enable the sale and purchase of locally produced food.
  • We work with partners who take care of any food left over after the event.
  • We work to promote sustainable trends.

Sustainability is about taking into account the needs of both current and future generations, and taking long-term responsibility in our daily activities. Stockholmsmässan’s sustainability work is based on three focus areas: Sustainable Community, Sustainable Environment and Sustainable Innovation.
